Bloodmounts are predatory creatures native to Sera, commonly tamed and employed by the Locust to serve as combat mounts.
Biology[]
The physiology of the Bloodmount is unusual in comparison to other Sera inhabitants. For mobility, the Bloodmount walks on a pair of hands, supported by muscular arms, whilst its diminutive feet are utilised for grabbing and slashing at prey.
History[]
Throughout the war between Humans and Locust, and presumably beforehand, Bloodmounts have been trained by the Locust Horde to serve as mounts for their cavalry units. The Bloodmount would viciously prey on Human soldiers whilst offering its rider a vantage point from which to shoot from. However, in the event of the Beast Rider's death, the Bloodmount would become enraged and revert to its more natural predatory instincts outside of Locust control.
