The Descendants of Man are species, subspecies and infraspecies that have evolved from Human race for numerous reasons. A perfect example of Descendants of Man are those species featured in the book Man After Man: An Anthropology of the Future by Dougal Dixon. Ancestors of mankind do not belong here, as they are the opposite of what this category entails, moving in the opposite direction of the evolutionary lineages.
