Unwin's Double Backed Shrovel is a species of Venusian animal. They can run as fast as a human and use the fingerlike feeders on their mouth to tear their food apart.
They are popular trophies for human hunters because their carapaces keep their bodies from being destroyed when they are shot by an aether oscillator. Their namesake, S. Unwin, is reputed to have killed 35 of them in 1932.
