Super Godzilla Alien

The name of this species is not known, nor is their full appearance as only one of the species is shown. What is known is that the aliens are experts in genetics, are technologically advanced, can travel in time and have learned how to use mind control over various daikaiju/monsters. With several monsters under their control - along with numerous flying saucers - the aliens began an attack on Earth to try and conquer it.

They've only appeared in the Super Nintendo game, Super Godzilla.

Information[]

The aliens made their first attack on Earth by sending the mind controlled space dragon, King Ghidorah, to attack Osaka in Japan - while they remained in the shadows for the time being and simply let King Ghidorah do their work.

In order to stop King Ghidorah, a small group of humans at the Anti-Monster Defense Forces (The AMDF Commander, Professor Ogata, Miss Yana, a soldier named Taniguchi and an individual known as 'the player') put together a risky idea in order to stop the space dragon - unaware of the fact King Ghidorah was been mind controlled by hostile extraterrestrials at the time. Managing to implant a 'mind control' device inside Godzilla's head, it allowed 'the player' to control the Monster King. Bringing him from the ocean into Osaka and confronting King Ghidorah, the two mind controlled monsters began to battle each other. Despite King Ghidorah's deadly gravity beams, the three-headed dragon was outmatched and defeated by Godzilla - who proceeded to blast off the hateful hydra's middle head.

by a large UFO. As the humans wondered what was going on, their transmissions were interrupted by the aliens - who admitted underestimating humanity's intelligence after seeing the group use a mind control device to control Godzilla during the fight, as well as admitting it was them who sent King Ghidorah to attack Osaka. They pointed out, however, that the human's plan would be useless as the aliens had other monsters under their control - who would defeat Godzilla and destroy Japan before the aliens would take over the planet. As they left and the group conversed on what to do, they agreed to use Godzilla to battle and destroy their enemies, no matter what. Professor Ogata took the central head of King Ghidorah for analysis - hoping to find use out of it.

MechaGodzilla's two forms

MechaGodzilla '74 (American version of the game) and MechaGodzilla '93 (Japanese version of the game).

The aliens soon dispatched another monster at Mount Fuji, which turns out to be MechaGodzilla. Godzilla is soon sent to Mount Fuji to deal with his mechanical doppelganger, despite having to dealing with a large military force and numerous small UFOs - although Godzilla is able to stop them if the player is able to locate and destroy the Alien Mothership in each 'mission'. Eventually clashing with MechaGodzilla, MechaGodzilla proves a strong opponent - been resilient to Godzilla's fire breath while also using both beam and missile attacks against him. Although mainly forced to use physical attacks against his enemy, Godzilla critically damages MechaGodzilla - resulting in the machine exploding violently, with Godzilla triumphant. As Professor Ogata prepared to tell the group what he'd found out from his analysis of King Ghidorah's cells, the group watched in horror as his screen suddenly went blank - with the immediate realization that the aliens had kidnapped him.

Biollante

The half Godzilla, half plant hybrid - Biollante.

The aliens took the professor to a secure base at Lake Ashino, where they imprisoned him and set up 'fake' bases filled with explosives as well as setting up high voltage electrical towers around the various bases. Managing to seize his information on Godzilla's DNA, the alien's used his research to genetically create a new monster called Biollante - a part Godzilla, part rose hybrid which they soon placed under their control and hid in Lake Ashino. As 'the player' managed to use Godzilla to infiltrate the bases and eliminate all resistance, the group finally managed to locate the Professor and rescue him. However, the aliens quickly summoned Biollante from the depths of Lake Ashino, with Godzilla been sent the battle the hybrid beast. Due to Biollante's enormous size and it's tough hide, Godzilla's physical attacks were

all but useless while his fire breath and hyper breath did less damage. Other dangers included Biollante using the deep water to its advantage - injuring Godzilla from below - as well as shooting out a dangerously effective acid spray from its mouth. Following a drawn-out battle between the two titans, Godzilla eventually beat Biollante, who dissolved into hundreds of spores and disappeared. Following the battle, the Professor explained what he had discovered regarding King Ghidorah's cells - showing they contained a lot of energy and could make Godzilla stronger - which was necessary as it would be almost certain that stronger monsters would appear. Injecting Godzilla with King Ghidorah's cells, Godzilla does get stronger - although the professor feels more can be learned from the space dragon's DNA.

Godzilla battles Battra

The team, however, is soon called to another monster attack in Yokohama - this time from the insect monster Battra. Furthermore, it's learned that there is both an adult Battra that is causing the current devastation and a second Battra - which is currently cocooned and immobile. Sending Godzilla out after Battra, the Monster King again battles through the military and alien ships sent to stop him. Finally reaching Battra, the two begin their battle. Due to its agility, Battra is able to dodge almost all of Godzilla's attacks with the exception of Godzilla's hyper breath - which is incredibly damaging to Battra. However, Battra's speed and agility also allow it to attack Godzilla with fast 'Dive Bomb' blows as well as using its 'Prism Beam' attack - which is fired from its eyes. Despite this, Godzilla eventually prevails over the giant insect, with the adult Battra - fatally injured - crashing into the sea and drowning. Remembering the second Battra - which is showing signs of getting ready to break out - 'the player' tries to get Godzilla to the location of the cocoon in time. Regardless of whether Godzilla makes it on time, he engages the second Battra (either in its larvae or adult form) and destroys it - with intelligence confirming there are no more Battra cocoons.

Mecha-King Ghidorah attacks

The battle soon moves to Tokyo, as the group is surprised to learn that the aliens have turned King Ghidorah into a more powerful cyborg, known as Mecha-King Ghidorah. Although Taniguchi is concerned about whether Godzilla can win, Professor Ogata explains that from his research into King Ghidorah's DNA, the possibility exists that they could transform Godzilla into a much more powerful 'Super Godzilla', with it been left to the player to decide as to whether they wish to take on Mecha-King Ghidorah as Godzilla or as Super Godzilla, as long as damage in the city doesn't reach above 50%. One way or another, Godzilla eventually confronts his upgraded adversary in his normal or super form. Proving a much tougher opponent this time, Mecha-King Ghidorah is shown to be faster than before - with the middle head replaced with a robotic head that shoots a more powerful laser triple beam. Furthermore, Mecha-King Ghidorah has a brand new and devastating attack; been able to latch onto Godzilla with the 'Godzilla Grip' from its body and electrocute Godzilla with thousands of volts of electricity.

Bagan's attack annihilates Tokyo

Bagan's attack annihilates Tokyo.

Depending on the player's decision, Godzilla eventually beats his mechanical opponent if fighting in his normal form, or easily beats Mecha-King Ghidorah if fighting in his Super Form. After defeating the cyborg, Mecha-King Ghidorah is shown teleporting away - with Godzilla changing back to normal if he fought in his Super form. Following this defeat, however, the aliens play their last card and reveal a final monster - which appears as a large ball of energy. Speaking to the humans again, the aliens declare that the new monster is called Bagan and how humanity will learn 'the hard way' just how powerful Bagan is - with the energy body letting off several fireballs that, to the team's horror, annihilate Tokyo. Gloating that despite Godzilla's increased power, the aliens state he is no match for Bagan - although humanity is perfectly willing to try and stop them. Bagan then heads for the Diet Building where the team's base is located - with the intention of destroying the team.

Realizing their only hope now is to fight Bagan with Super Godzilla, the humans set about a plan to get Godzilla the necessary energy to transform. If Godzilla fought Mecha-King Ghidorah as normal, he will be able to get all his energy at once from a 'Super Energy Bank' that a research team helping the group was constructing - allowing him to begin his battle against Bagan as Super Godzilla. However, if Godzilla fought Mecha-King Ghidorah as Super Godzilla, he will have to begin the fight against Bagan in his normal form

until the Super X-2 can get enough energy to trigger his transformation. Furthermore, Miss Yana reveals that due to Godzilla fighting battle after battle, the control box is stretched to its limit - meaning 'the player' will have to defeat Bagan quickly. Confronting Bagan at the Diet Building, the energy sphere explodes - revealing Bagan in a brand new form, with the aliens gloating that they traveled back in time and brought Bagan back from 'The Land of Legend' (Earth's ultra-ancient past) before enhancing him by fusing both Godzilla's and King Ghidorah's cells to him - making him enormously powerful. All of Godzilla's attacks do barely any damage or no damage at all -

making it impossible for Godzilla in his normal form to defeat Bagan. As Super Godzilla, however, the odds even out with both monsters having the same amount of power.

Bagan easily proves himself as Godzilla's toughest opponent; unleashing several attacks including a slash attack and energy attacks - including his 'Diamond Storm' and Plasma Beam' attacks, both of which are devastating. Despite this, however, Super Godzilla

throws all he can back at Bagan - with a range of new attacks including flinging a sphere of energy from his tail, throwing fiery punches, hitting his opponent with a more powerful body slam, blasting his opponent with his more powerful Super Breath attack and finally, unleashing his incredibly destructive Nova Beam.

After an epic and violent clash between the two legendary creatures, Bagan was eventually defeated - much to the alien leader's utter disbelief. As Bagan disappeared in a beam of light, Super Godzilla roared in triumph before he transformed back into Godzilla due to his power excess running out - the control box in his mind finally been destroyed in the process and giving Godzilla back his own free will. With their invasion a failure, the aliens tried to flee, but were later shot down by the Super X-2 (erronously labelled the Super X in the game), giving humanity the victory over the aliens.

Mothership Shot Down

The Alien's Mothership Shot Down.

With his final battle complete and his mind no longer under humanity's control, Godzilla instinctively returned to the sea. However, while humanity celebrated their victory thanks to Godzilla's assistance in stopping the aliens and their mind controlled monsters, humanity worried about how Godzilla would respond the next time he returned from the sea - potentially as an enemy of humanity...
