The Nerdlucks, AKA Monstars, are a group of aliens who work for Mr. Swackhammer. In their original forms, they are small, weak, fragile and not particularly intelligent. However, they have the ability to steal other creatures' abilities, including the NBA players' talent and assume a new much larger and more menacing form.
Appearance[]
The Nerdlucks are small insectoid aliens who wear bowties, bug-like eyes, antennas, lizard-like noses, and three fingers.
As the Monstars[]
Pound, who stole Charles Barkley's talent is the overweight orange leader of the Monstars. He is bossy, mean spirited and demanding, and takes pleasure in bullying Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes characters. He speaks in a very deep voice.
Bang, who stole Patrick Ewing's talent is the green second in command of the Monstars. He is very tough and aggressive. He has a large chin, small dragon-like ears, spikes on his back and a red orange flat top. He enjoys insulting Michael Jordan and picking on the Looney Tunes. He has the ability to breathe fire. He speaks in a deep growling voice.
Bupkus, who stole Larry Johnson's talent is the purple monstar. He has dark purple hair; he is emotional and very cocky. He enjoys mocking Michael Jordan and hurting the Looney Tunes. He speaks in a deep suave voice.
Blanko, who stole Shawn Bradley's talent is the tall blue monstar. He has dark blue hair, pointy ears, and a buck tooth. He is dimwitted and more laid-back than his teammates. He is friendly to Michael Jordan and Tweety. He speaks in a thick californian accent.
Nawt, who stole Muggsy Bogues's talent is the short red monstar. He is smart and hyperactive. He speaks in a high voice.
History[]
After stealing the talents of five-star NBA players and transforming into the Monstars, they start to look tall and muscular and their high voices become deep and ominous. They have grown sharp teeth and five fingers with sharp claws. Throughout the movie, they started to act like bullies around the Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan upon meeting him by calling him names, while making him into a basketball before slam dunking him. Later, at the basketball game, the Monstars start to cheat and use physical violence to get their hands on the ball so they can win. Later, after they lost the game, the Monstars got tired of being mistreated by their boss Mr. Swackhammer. Enraged and humiliated, they stuff him in a rocket by sending him to the moon, then they have a change of heart around Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes. But after the deal with Swackhammer was done, the Monstars reluctantly return the stolen talents which reverts them back into the Nerdlucks. They kindly ask Bugs Bunny if they can stay in Looney Tune Land, to which he replies to them with, "I don't know if you guys are looney enough."
The Nerdlucks made an appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy, but it was a cameo which has reused animation, much to their fans disappointment. It appears that they dislike the Tune Squad's new captain, LeBron James after watching the game. It also appears that they seem to like Michael more than LeBron. They also made their full appearance in Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam on Cartoon Network where Bang, Pound and Blanko have been voiced by Fred Tatasciore while Nawt and Bupkus are voiced by John DiMaggio respectively.
In the film, Pound and his friends visit the Teen Titans via their spaceship and agree to watch the 1996 film together. Cyborg, also known as Victor Stone learned about the Looney Tunes franchise by researching it on the Internet. Annoyed with Robin's lack of trust towards the Nerdlucks, Pound agrees to check out what talents the Titans use. Bang, Nawt, Blanko and Bupkus become fascinated with their newfound powers, but the leader of the Monstars lacks it, much to his frustration because Robin's only talent is dancing which annoys the Monstars while Bang is trying not to burst out laughing. Blanko and his companions use their abilities by throwing Robin around like a ragdoll, sending him flying out of the tower because of his paranoia. Later, near the end of the film, the Monstars get a snack from the fridge and the bin.
Bupkus seemed to be impressed by Robin's leadership, but he was left unimpressed by the Titans idiocy during a deal while he said, "We heard you Titans were dummies. But we didn't realize you were that dumb!" Blanko agreed and told them that they're stupid. After Bupkus used his ability to create a purple wormhole which sends the Titans to their birthplace, similar to Raven, Pound grabs the remote control whilst he exclaimed, "We're the Titans now!" They changed their name to the Mean Titans which seems to fit their brute strength and confidence. To the Monstars relief, they found a new home and they didn't have to work for their boss anymore.

- The Looney Tunes assigned each individual member their own scientific name, as shown in the box above, despite technically being the same species. Of course, this is most likely just for comedic effect, though there isn't any other evidence to go on.
