Evolved Nanochips (alternatively known as Nanomites[1] or Evolved Nanomechions) are a race of sapient biomechanical insectoid/computer microchip-like aliens that originate from "hive" planets[2][3] and the evolved form of Nanochips.

Biology[]

Unlike ordinary Nanochips, Nanomites are grey metal humanoid insect-like aliens with a pair of wings and green circuitry-like patterns decorating their bodies.

Powers and abilities[]

Nanomites are capable of flight and are very agile while doing so. Their wings can glow whenever they are airborne.

Nanomites can reduce their size to microscopic scales and return to their original size at will.

Nanomites are highly adaptable, being able to understand the functions of machinery and other technology. They then use that information to make machines malfunction and break down in a matter of seconds.

Nanomites can generate bioelectricity from their hands and eyes that is powerful enough to incapacitate a To'kustar.

Similar to Nanochip Queens, Nanomites can sprout energy tentacles. They are also immune to being controlled by said Nanochip Queens.

Because they are a technological species, it is possible that Nanomites can merge with Galvanic Mechamorphs.[1]

Given their biomechanical nature, Nanomites can survive in the vacuum of space.[1]

Weaknesses[]

Similar to Galvans, an Nanomite's minuscule size can be a problem if fighting larger opponents. Despite being able to alter their size, they cannot grow any larger as their maximum size is very small.[1]

Because they are extremely light, Nanomites can easily be blown back and immobilized by strong winds.

Nanomites can be affected by magic, as there is a spell that can crush them in a book.

Nanomites are vulnerable to being possessed by an Ectonurite.[1]

Culture and society[]

As they evolve into a full alien race, Nanomites are able to establish their own civilizations.[1]

Notable members[]

  • Nanomech: An Omnitrix transformation used by Ben Tennyson.
    • Teeny-Weeny: An alternate version of Nanomech used by the Ben Tennyson of Dimension 23.
    • Mad Nanomech: An alternate version of Nanomech used by Mad Ben.[4]

Half-qualifiers[]

  • Kevin Levin: The Prime Timeline's Kevin Levin was temporarily transformed into a Nanomite due to an Ultimatrix malfunction.
    • Ultimate Kevin: 17-year-old Kevin Levin of the Prime Timeline transformed into an amalgamation of every alien available in the Ultimatrix prior to traveling to the Forge of Creation, including Nanomech.

Notes[]

  • Due to the non-sapient nature of Nanochips, Nanomech is identified as an unknown bio-mechanical lifeform by the Galvan and Inspector 13's Species.
  • According to the bio card included with Bandai's Nanomech action figure, Nanomech is a unique creation of the Omnitrix in which DNA from both Ben Tennyson and Nanochips were fused together. This backstory has been supported by Duncan Rouleau, who has stated that Nanomech is a human/Nanochip-hybrid.[5] Therefore, Nanomech is the only Omnitrix transformation to be half-human, as well as being the only hybrid transformation to not be access either through an Omnitrix malfunction or the Biomnitrix.
    • However, Derrick J. Wyatt instead views Nanomech as an evolved form of Nanochip. He has also confirmed that Teeny-Weeny is a Nanomite instead of a hybrid.[1]
