The Jante are a species of sapients indigenous to the planet Jante. They were locked into an arms races with another nearby race, the Freda. The Freda eventually attacked the planet Jante with industrial flora on Rett II. The Galactic Empire, led at this time by Moff Haveland, ordered a ceasefire, from which the Freda eventually withdrew.
