The Kumumgah were an advanced species residing on Tatooine. They were invaded by the Rakata many thousand years ago, and the subsequent war between the two species was responsible for transforming the prosperous planet into an arid desert world. The descendants of the Kumumgah gave rise to the Jawa and Tusken Raider species, and possibly the Mole Creatures as well.
