The Medusoids are a sapient alien species described by the Doctor as looking like hairy jellyfish with teeth, claws and a leg. They appear to be a hostile and/or paranoid race, as they once captured the Third Doctor en route to a peace conference and forced him to go through a mind probe to make sure he wasn't lying about his destination.
