Mertock is one of John Silver's gang of intergalactic pirates recruited to serve aboard the spaceship RLS Legacy in his expedition to find the legendary treasure of Captain Flint. He is a portly creature of unknown species that resembles like a purple manatee with a bulldog face, a single horn on the forehead, clawed hands and tentacle-like legs. It is unknown what became of him after the mutiny.
