This article is based on the article Na'vi language from James Cameron's Avatar Wiki, licensed under CC-BY-SA.

Na'vi is the language of the Na'vi species.

There's no written Na'vi; the Na'vi's history is passed down through songs.

In order to document it, the humans, using most English alphabet letters, two diacritics (ä, ì), three ejectives (px, tx, kx), and an apostrophe as a glottal stop, wrote this language.

Creation Edit

Na’vi was created by Paul Frommer, a professor at the Marshall School of Business with a doctorate in linguistics. Na'vi is heavily based on the Maori language, one of the three official languages of New Zealand.
