Oku

The Oku were a primitive, white furred sentient species native to the planet Tokmia. There was a population of 400,000 Oku on Tokmia, governed by tribal councils. Employees of the wealthy Figg Excavations mining company located on the planet often gave handouts to the Oku. When the company later abandoned the planet, there became a cargo cult among the Oku that burned fires in patterns of landing lights and prophesied that the magical ships would return.
