"Time has not dimmed the memory of our loss, but it has allowed us to let go of our anger toward those responsible."
―Emperor Haban Limai

The Pearl are a race of humanoids from the destroyed planet Mül. They also seem to have a connection with the Converters. They have a bad history with Humans.

Biology[]

Pearls are humanoid in appearance, they have split earlobes and their ears have a very curved point, their heads have bumps on the front of their head, their eyes have a blue eyes with a magenta iris and a black pupils, their skin is quite pearlescent (obviously) but their skin does have some waves of colour when something touched it, when they are close to death, their skin turns grey, and when they die, their Life Energy is released in a massive wave which goes across space and time until it finds a suitable host to store it until it can pass, they appear to have very long lifespans as it seems many of them haven't aged a day between the destruction of Mül and their arrival to Alpha.

Culture and society[]

Pearl society is one which has a deep connection to their homeworld, the Pearls would gather Mül pearls and when they found one with as much power as an entire fleet of star fighters, they would feed it to a Mül Converter which would return many more pearls to their world, they where ruled by a patriarchy with the empress bring the one who finds the energized Mül pearl.

Technology[]

The Pearl had a technological level similar to old pre-colonial African/Native American tribes while they were on their homeworld, but when Mül was destroyed, they were forced to advance technologically, but their new tech allowed them to develop incapacitating guns and ships that can break into many individual ships.

History[]

400 years after the Alpha Intergalactic Spaceport left the Earth's orbit, the Pearls where a prosperous pre-industrial civilization thriving on the planet Mül, until the Humans who were having a war with an unknown alien race, destroyed Mül as a way to get a tactical advantage, due to the fighting in the heavens above, the Pearls were forced to enter into a crashed Human vessel, but the princess and six million other Pearls died with Mül, as the fiery crash of the alien command ship caused the entire planet to be destroyed, over the next 30 years, the Pearls learned of the millions of species which permeated the universe, they learned of technology, they grew their own food, and eventually, they reached Alpha, they observed the ways of the other species, buying from terrestrials and Omelites, they discovered the whereabouts of the soul of Princess LÏho-Minaa was found by her brother, Prince Tsûuri, her soul's host was Federal Agent Valerian, who was also paying a visit to Big Market in the Dimension 2 version of the desert moon Karkos, Tsûuri was there to buy the last surviving Mül Converter off a Khodar'Khan criminal, Valerian was there for the same creature, eventually the Pearls took the Commander, during a meeting of the Alpha Security Council, they eventually got a confession out of the Commander, and the Pearls, using the power of the pearls of Mül, rebuilt their world and went out to wander the stars in their new home.
