The Peat-Bladder is a life form native to the mountainous regions of Darwin IV. They are described as pink ovoid creatures which bury themselves upright in the boggy ground to keep their wrinkled skin moist. Their flabby lips stay visible, though, exhaling mist and producing a strange wheezing song which Barlowe describes as "amusing".
