|Behind the Scenes|
Pom Hoppers are so called because they inhabit only the areas where the water is covered by Pom Petals, and are able to move quickly across the lakes by hopping on these large aquatic plants.
Pom Hoppers have light, porous bones; enormously wide webbed feet in order to better distribute their weight; and a long thin tail for balance.
They also have a short trunk which can be used as a snorkel, enabling them to breath while remaining almost entirely underwater, which they do when sleeping and hiding from predators.
