In Spore Creatures, all creatures in the galaxy evolve from tiny creatures called Sporelings. Sporelings appear as tiny critters that resemble baby versions of their related creature. When brought to the nest of their species, whether if it was led by the player or carried and thrown, they burrow into a small patch leaves and become eggs that rapidly grow and hatch into fully grown creatures. They generally occur in secluded areas when a nest either has about two out its four creature slots empty or if the existing creatures were killed off. If the player's creature is a carnivore or omnivore, he can eat a Sporeling whole to restore health as if it were meat. If the player throws Sporelings around enough times, the Sporeling Fun Factory badge is awarded.
