Spriggans are creatures of wood animated by Taproot. Usually found populating areas of significant floral growth, Spriggans are typically aggressive against trespassers and are attracted to Taproot external to their bodies.
Usually found dwelling within trees, Spriggans are armed with claws which they can enhance by drawing a swarm of insects from inside them into the claws, which can also poison their target. Spriggans are also capable of rendering themselves temporarily invisible, rapid self-healing and concentrating their swarms into a destructive blast. The Spriggans' relationship with these swarms is largely unclear, whether they produce them from their bodies or if they themselves are controlled by the swarms. Spriggans are also capable of enthralling nearby animals to serve them, although this enthralment does not end with the Spriggan's death.
Due to the significance of taproot to their rituals, Hagravens often trap and sacrifice Spriggans in order to use it, using already existing samples of taproot to lure them in.
