Although they have not been as much represented in science fiction, it is likely that Uranians exhibit features much like Jovians, or perhaps they are creatures that are swimming in the chemical liquids on Uranus. Since the planet has a low temperature, it is likely Uranians may live on the cirrus clouds on Uranus. Other than Jupiter, Uranus has the most speculation of life on Jovian planets.

TypesEdit

  • Uranians are often featured in the comic strip Brewster Rockit: Space Guy! where they are constantly made fun of due to their planet's unfortunate name. The comic also features the Lilpootians, native to a small moon of Uranus.
  • Ramsey Campbell's story The Insects from Shaggai described Uranus in the Cthulhu Mythos as being known by the name L'gy'hx and inhabited by a race of metallic, cubic shaped creatures with multiple legs and who worship a being called L'rog'g.
  • Uranians were featured, along with fictional species from each planet in the solar system, in the Brazilian science magazine Superinteressante, where they are portrayed as fungus-like creatures.
  • The 1962 film Journey to the Seventh Planet features a powerful, illusions-projecting telepathic entity native to the planet Uranus.
  • The Space Patrol episode "The Dark Planet" features a species of intelligent hostile plants from Uranus.
