The Xindi-Arboreals are one of the five spacefaring species that formed the Xindi society in the 22nd century. They are a mammalianoid humanoid species, believed to have evolved from an ancestor similar to Earth possums or sloths. They are known for their slow, almost lethargic metabolism and their hydrophobic tendencies, which makes them terribly agitated when near water bodies. Like all Xindi, they possess a pair of small ridges on the cheeks.
Of the five species, the Arboreals appear to be the most peaceful and the most sensible, only taking aggressive actions for defense purposes. Even as a spacefaring species, they still prefer to take shelter in trees, like their name suggests. Arboreals have a dense fur covering and are known to feed on beetles.
