Zebes was a Class XIX rogue planet that had been passing through the Ooromine System at the time of its ultimate destruction. Initially home to a Chozo colony known as Chozodia where Samus Aran had been taken to to be raised by them after the decimation of her home of K-2L, it was more recently taken over by the space pirates known simply as Space Pirates
